FOCUS: Believing God's WordBelieving is sometimes viewed as generating a force field; getting enough mental energy going to make things happen. We mentally grunt and groan. We repeat over and over to ourselves 'Lord I believe, Lord I believe, Lord I believe'. We strive and stress, BUT God is the one with the power and ability to bring His Word to pass. It is by discipline and controlling one's mind, renewing one's mind to the Word of God, that wonderful things happen. It also doesn't matter what the circumstances are at the time, they have nothing to do with the results people receive. To truly believe God's Word you need to start with God's Word.
It takes preparation to conquer the unbelief that is ingrained in us. Preparation of our hearts and minds with the Word of God. The Word is true, we must come to the point where we believe it beyond a shadow of a doubt. To see the promises of God come to pass we believe His Word. We believe God's promises in the Word and by God's power they are brought to pass in our lives. It is not by our greatness that signs, miracles and
wonders happen, we simply believe.
They already received the promises of God, they had the power to do it, and they had the Word of God. They needed only the faith of a grain of mustard seed. Bishop K.C. Pillai said this seed is so small that if you got it in your eye you would not know it was there. God really does all of the work, our responsibility is to believe His Word. We supply the believing of a mustard seed. Consider a three year-old, he tries to push something that is too hard for him to do alone so he asks his father to help. Daddy really does all the pushing but the child is there "pushing" also. We add so little that it can hardly be felt, what is so great is the power of God. We see in the Word of God that people believed God's promises and God brought them to pass. It had nothing to do with circumstances or personality. Today God makes his Word available; we believe the promises, and God takes care of us completely. Believing
- Definition Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille writes in his book The Bible Tells Me So in the chapter entitled: The Law of Believing:
There will always be a variety of action that will be taken pertinent to each situation, the important part is - God is the one with the power and ability. Believing is the action that unleashes the power. Click Here for Printable Version
