Blessed is the Nation

We have a wonderful God that we can go to, believe, trust in, and rely on. His promises that He has given us are as good as gold for He will never renege on His Word.

With all of the trouble going on in the world and economic problems of the United States it can be very overwhelming if we don't keep in mind that our God can deliver our nation from our enemies. Our enemies are within and without. God can bring into position those that are skilled and inspired of God to get our great country back on track. We need to pray and believe God for our country.

There is a great example of God prospering a nation when His people stand up and believe.  Daniel was taken captive to Babylon when Nebuchadnezzar was king. However, Daniel and several others (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) remained faithful to God.  Through their steadfastness Nebuchadnezzar recognized God's great power, put God's people in prominent positions and God prospered Babylon. See "The Proclamation of Nebuchadnezzar."

God can do the same today. Consider the words in Psalms. This Psalm should be read slowly, savoring every verse, then read again with emphasis.

Psalms 33
:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous:
    for
praise is comely for the upright.
:2 Praise the LORD with harp:
        sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
:3 Sing unto him a new song;
    play skilfully with a loud noise.
:4 For the word of the LORD is right;
    and all his works are done in truth.
:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment:
    the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made;
    and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
:7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap:
    he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD:
    let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
:9 For he spake,
        and it was done;
    he commanded,
        and it stood fast.
:10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought:
        he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever,
        the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;
        and
the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
:13 The LORD looketh from heaven;
    he beholdeth all the sons of men.
:14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
:15 He fashioneth their hearts alike;
    he considereth all their works.
:16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host:
    a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
:17 An horse is a vain thing for safety:
    neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him,
        upon them that hope in his mercy;
:19   To deliver their soul from death,
        and to keep them alive in famine.
:20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD:
        he is our help and our shield.
:21 For our heart shall rejoice in him,
        because we have trusted in his holy name.
:22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us,
        according as we hope in thee.

Praise God!! Number one Praise Him, sing songs unto Him, make your voice heard. By God's word he has made the world and all that is in it; how awesome and wonderful are is His works. All he had to do was speak and the heavens and earth were made by the breath of His mouth. Let us all reverence God and stand in awe of Him. God brings to nought the devices of man, the carnal inventions and theories, but God's word will stand for ever and continue through every generation. God blesses the nation that has made Him Lord and those that have responded to His call. God sees us all, our hearts and our lives. There is no leader saved by the strength of his military. The leaders forces are vanity, he cannot save any. God is attentive to those that reverence Him and have hope in his mercy. God is the one who delivers us from death and hardship. God is our protector, we depend on Him. We can rejoice because we know we have a delivering God and we trust in His name. We should accept God's mercy (withholding of merited judgment) and look to Him always.  Trust God and His Word.

God will bring us the victory, we must pray and believe that it is so. Tell others as well. Our God is a faithful God.

Numbers 23
:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God has given us everything that we need to live abundantly and prosper. It is important that we recognize this and focus on the spiritual aspect of life rather than the carnal facts that are orchestrated by Satan which surrounds us.

II Peter 2
:1 Simon Peter,
        a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ,
    to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God
        and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
    through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
    that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
        having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
:5  And beside this, giving all diligence,
        add to your faith virtue;
        and to virtue knowledge;
:6     And to knowledge temperance;
        and to temperance patience;
        and to patience godliness;
:7     And to godliness brotherly kindness;
        and to brotherly kindness charity.
:8 For if these things be in you, and abound,
    they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have a way out of the corruption of the world, it is God and His Word.  We have answers for people who hunger and thirst after righteousness. We have a way to take back our country from the evil influences of Satan. First pray for our country and leaders. God knows what needs to happen to bring this country back to prosperity and one to be respected among nations. Next, claim the promises of God.

Psalm 33
:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever,
     the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;
    and
the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

We need to stand up and believe who we are and what God has done for us and take our country back from unbelievers and those with corrupt morals. We should not stand for it any longer. Pray, ingrain God's Word in your heart, believe and speak.
