The New BirthThat We May See and BelieveRead Time: 7 Minutes God's plan from the beginning was to have children that He could bless and that would love and worship Him. He blesses them first and they love and worship Him. He also gave them (us) freewill. We cannot really love unless it is a freewill decision on our part. Because of this freewill Eve and Adam made a bad decision and they lost the spiritual connection with God. That decision affected all of mankind; from that day forward we were born in trespasses and sins without God and without hope. How was God going to get His kids back on talking terms with Him, spiritually? Well, God is a law abiding God and He needed to make a way for us to believe and be bought back. It's freewill, remember? Since we are just body and soul we needed something to see and believe. Jesus Christ is the answer. God sent Jesus Christ to represent Himself on earth in the sense realm We could see Jesus Christ and believe, which is what we can do by our five-senses to take the step toward God and receiving the faith of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ had to fulfill the law. But what made Jesus Christ qualified to do so? God says that Jesus Christ is His son. In order to make a child the egg of the woman and seed of the man is required. In the case of Jesus Christ, God placed His seed in Mary so Jesus Christ could be human but have perfect blood (the woman does not contribute any blood to the child) and live perfectly and sinless for the life is in the blood..
Everyone partakes (koinoneo - share fully) of the flesh and blood of their parents, but Jesus Christ took part (metecho - to take only a portion), he didn't take all, he was in the flesh born of a woman but he received the soul life that was in his blood from God by divine conception. We are all born under sin, the sin of Adam, but Jesus Christ had innocent blood as proclaimed by Judas in Matthew 27:4, ". . . I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. . ."
The life that Jesus Christ had was from God. It is that blood that purifies, redeems and makes possible the abundant life for mankind.
Jesus Christ became the sacrifice we needed, he shed his blood so that we could be bought back from the hand of adversary. His broken body was given for our healing. Jesus Christ's sacrifice was much more than just redeeming man spiritually but physically as well. All sin, sickness, disease and death are from the devil. There was no thorns and sorrow prior to the fall of man. God does not punish people for their disobedience, people receive the consequences of their actions. If you fall flat on your face you hurt your nose, not because God punished you for being stupid enough to fall on your face but because the law of gravity is a law and you broke it receiving the consequences. God sent his son that we may be made whole physically as well.
Jesus Christ's entire life was in service to God for man. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. His body was broken for our physical healing and his innocent blood shed for our remission of sins. Communion takes on a whole new meaning now. Because many don't realize the healing power in Christ's broken body, because many don't realize that by his stripes we were healed, many are weak, sickly and dead. God's plan from the beginning was to have children that He could bless and that would love and worship Him. He blesses us first and we love and worship Him. God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to make known Himself and to redeem us and make it available for us to be sons and daughters once again. We need to believe and see God work in our lives. We need to recognize who we are and what we have in order to live the more than abundant life. |
